Victorian Sterling Silver Gilded Bright-cut Locket

A charming silver gilded locket from the Victorian era with geometric hand-etched and bright-cut work. The sterling silver locket has a nice yellow gold wash color over it that accentuated the carved lines. The patterning is inspired by nature, as was most Victorian era ornamentation. The locket is a fantastic antique, with a minor pin dent on one side, but otherwise in great condition. The locket opens and closes perfectly, revealing two spaces to keep mementos or small photographs inside. The locket has a bale at the end and is ready to hang on the chain of your choice. The oval locket even has a small space on one side that would take engraved initials beautifully. A monogram on the locket would be a nice addition for a special gift. The locket measures approximately 1 inch by 7/8 of an inch weighs 5 grams and dates to the 1880's. We also have many chains available through Kirsten's Corner. This has been acid tested to be sterling silver.
