Platinum Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Ring

The Mid-Century Modern design of this platinum sapphire and diamond ring is the pinnacle of classic minimalist jewelry. The prong-set center stone is a round Ceylon sapphire that has a lot of life and sparkle to it, with a beautiful, vibrant medium blue saturation or cornflower blue, a blue Ceylon sapphires are known for. The truncated baguette diamonds are bezel set, and taper down as an elegant segue into the platinum band. The high profile setting raises up the stones, showing off their beauty and sophistication. This classic design could be worn as a cocktail ring, or as an alternative engagement ring.

The Ceylon sapphire is 1.1 of a carat and is 6.1 mm in diameter. We can assume it is heat treated. The diamonds are beautifully near-colorless. G-H in color; VSII in clarity. Each diamond is 5.5 mm in length and 1.75 x 1.4 mm in width. They equal .20 of a carat. The ring is marked platinum on the inside.
