Edwardian 18K Gold Opal and Diamond Three-Stone Ring

This 18k gold Edwardian ring features three oval Australian opals prong set with four small diamonds encrusted between them. The opals have gorgeous color play, with flashes of pinks, blues, greens, and purples. The diamonds are a combination of Old Mine and Old European Cuts, with beautiful sparkle that complements the color play of the opals. The prongs that hold the diamonds are platinum tipped to give the illusion the diamonds are being held seamlessly in place, while the prongs that hold the opals are gold to add a pop of color as they frame the opals. The ring has a Victorian-era profile with scrolling foliate and floral embellishments along the sides. The result is a lovely piece that feels delicate and feminine, with soft edges and colors that highlight the beauty of the stones.

The ring contains three natural Australian opals. The larger center opal measures 5.7 x 4.3 mm and the two slightly smaller opals measure 5.5 x 4 mm. The TCW of the opals is approximately 1 carat. There are four natural antique diamonds, a combination of Old Mine and Old European Cuts. They measure 2.25 mm each and have a TCW of approximately 1/3 of a carat. The diamonds are H-I in color and VS2-SI2 in clarity, bright and lively.

The face of the rings measures 3/4” x 1/4” with a depth of 3/16”. The band has a width of 1.8 mm. The ring weighs 4.5 grams. It is marked on the interior 18CT.
