This 24k gold bracelet is part of the Gurhan Lush Collection. It consists of oblong hand-hammered discs that vary in shape and size held together by small circular links. Gurhan Orhan is a Turkish designer known for pioneering the resurgence of 24k gold craftsmanship. Using tools reminiscent of the Anatolian and Byzantine eras, each Gurhan piece is handmade through labor intensive processes; in Gurhan’s pieces, one square inch of gold may bear over 1000 hammer strokes, which strengthens the 24k gold. Gurhan’s designs are often inspired by ancient coins, micro mosaics, and rare gemstones. The Lush Collection was introduced in the late 1990’s.
