This 18k gold hand hammered ring features a glowing Mexican fire opal in an organic shape. This one-of-a-kind ring was handmade in Santa Fe, NM by designer Tony Malmed. The stunning fire opal has orange overtones that flash with flecks of green, purple and blue; in the sunlight, the vibrant opal truly glows. The asymmetrical stone is bezel set in a sculpted, hand-hammered gold ring. The textured gold perfectly complements the organic shape of the opal, as if the entire piece were found in nature. The Mexican Fire Opal is 2.41 carats and has an free form cabochon shape with the bezel hugging the stone.

Tony Malmed is known for his handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces, inspired by his travels and time spent living in India, Italy, Japan, and the Middle East. Tony lives in Santa Fe, NM and each of his pieces is crafted from rare, precious, and ethically minded gems set in repurposed gold and silver.
