Circa the 1960’s, the striking modernist design of these earrings are a combination of jester hat and Jetsons. An elongated cone descends down from an earring wire and meets a spiral carved red glass bead. The gold has a beautiful Florentine finish, and the bead is topped with a repeating motif of gold balls and wires that creates a whimsical and space age earring.Â
The earrings measure 2 1/8” from top to bottom. The red circular bead measures 3/8” across, and is the widest part of the earring. Combined, the earrings weigh 8.8 grams. They are marked as 14k gold, Italy, and with a maker’s mark of a B inside of a circle.Â
For pierced ears.Â
